VERAN | 3D PRINTING

3D Printing
in Pretoria.

From a digital design to a physical part.

Veran provides FDM and resin 3D printing for individuals and businesses. Whether you need a custom part, a prototype to test your design or a detailed display model, we’ll help you choose a suitable printing approach.

Our equipment includes eight FDM printers, an industrial FDM printer for high-temperature and specialised filament projects, and a resin printer for detailed models

WHAT WE CAN MAKE

Parts with a purpose.

Tell us what you want to make and how it will be used. We will review the design and confirm a suitable approach.

Custom parts

Brackets, housings, covers and other components designed around your requirements. We discuss the key measurements and attachment points with you before designing the component.

Prototypes

Physical models for reviewing shape, size, fit and assembly. Use a printed prototype to explore a design before developing it further.

Detailed models

Display pieces, miniatures and visual models where appearance and fine detail matter. Multiple copies can be quoted where required.

HOW WE PRINT

The right process for your project.

FDM printing

FDM printing builds a part layer by layer using plastic filament. It is a practical option for many custom parts, prototypes and models.

Our eight FDM printers include Creality K1C, K1 Max and K2 Pro machines, together with an INTAMSYS FUNMAT HT for high-temperature and specialised filament projects.

Resin printing

Our Creality HALOT-X1 uses UV-curable resin to produce fine-detail models and visual prototypes.

We choose the resin around the project: a display model and a part intended for repeated handling can need different properties.

MATERIALS & CAPABILITIES

Choose around the application.

The lists below show material options across our equipment. Specific grades, colours, availability and suitability are confirmed when quoting.

Filaments

  • PLA, including high-speed formulations
  • PETG and PET
  • ABS and ASA
  • TPU, including 95A grades
  • PA / Nylon
  • PC / Polycarbonate

Specialised filaments

  • PLA-CF, PET-CF and PA-CF / Nylon-CF
  • PPA-CF and PPA-GF
  • PEEK, PEEK-CF and PEEK-GF
  • PEKK
  • PEI / ULTEM
  • PPS and PPSU

CF means carbon-fibre-filled; GF means glass-fibre-filled. Specialised materials are assessed for each project.

Resin options

  • Standard and high-detail resin
  • Water-washable resin
  • ABS-like resin
  • Fast, tough or flexible resin — subject to grade confirmation

Part sizes

Nominal printer build volumes

  • Creality K1C: 220 × 220 × 250 mm
  • Creality K1 Max: 300 × 300 × 300 mm
  • Creality K2 Pro: 300 × 300 × 300 mm
  • INTAMSYS FUNMAT HT: 260 × 260 × 260 mm
  • HALOT-X1: 211.68 × 118.37 × 200 mm

These are printer build volumes, rather than guaranteed maximum dimensions for every part. Orientation, supports and material requirements can reduce the usable space. Send your dimensions for confirmation.

Strength and finish

Strength depends on the material, design, print orientation, wall thickness and infill. Explain how the part will be used and identify any critical dimensions or loads.

Printed parts may show layer lines or support marks. Tell us if appearance or mating surfaces are important.

WHAT YOU RECEIVE

A clear scope.
An agreed result.

Your quote sets out what will be supplied and which work is included.

  • Printed parts in the agreed quantity, material and colour, where applicable.
  • Any finishing or additional work agreed for the project.
  • The price and estimated completion time.

CAD design, model changes and digital file delivery are included only where specifically agreed in the quote.

WHAT WE NEED

Tell us about your print.

  • Your existing 3D model, drawing, sketch or reference photographs.
  • Approximate dimensions and the number of parts required.
  • The intended use, including strength, flexibility or temperature requirements.
  • Important dimensions, fitting points or mating components.
  • Your preferred material and colour, if known.
  • Your required completion date.

Not sure about material or infill? Select “Not sure” in our quote form and explain how you intend to use the part.

FROM OUR WORKSHOP

A real project. A practical result.

Timing chain tensioner

The requirement
The original tensioner broke, and a replacement was needed.

Our approach
We used the original part to work out the shape, measurements and fitting points, then recreated the design. After looking at suitable materials for 3D printing, we chose PEEK.

The result
A replacement part, 3D printed in PEEK from the recreated design.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Before you get started.

Can you help if I do not have a 3D file?

Yes. Send us your idea, sketches, reference photographs and measurements. We can discuss the CAD design work needed before printing and include it in the proposed scope.

Which material or infill should I choose?

Tell us how the part will be used. We will discuss suitable options based on the design, flexibility, temperature exposure, appearance and other requirements.

How much does 3D printing cost?

Pricing depends on the size and complexity of the model, material, printing time, quantity and any design or finishing work required. Send your project details for a quote.

How long will my project take?

We will confirm an estimated completion time once we have reviewed your files, requirements and our current workload.

Can you print more than one copy?

Yes. Include the quantity in your enquiry so we can assess the printing approach, price and completion time for the full order.

YOUR NEXT STEP

Let’s discuss your print.

Have a model ready, or an idea you want to develop? Send us your project details and we will help you work out the next step.
